Why this project exists
Commercial payment products are documented badly. Vendor material is written to persuade, and much of the independent coverage is affiliate-driven comparison content that ranks products by commission rather than by structure.
This project exists to fill the gap in the middle: careful, sourced, vendor-neutral reference material that explains how a category works, so a reader can evaluate products themselves rather than being told which one to pick.
What we publish
Roughly seventy indexed pages across three types of content, all following the same standards for sourcing, authorship and dating.
- Product references — structural documentation of specific products and categories.
- Guides — vendor-neutral explainers on how a process works.
- Context pages — company, business and access information written from public sources.
What we will never do
These boundaries are structural rather than aspirational — the site is built so that breaking them would require rebuilding it.
- We will never publish a sign-in form or collect credentials of any kind.
- We will never accept, forward or process an application.
- We will never take payment for coverage, placement or ranking.
- We will never publish ratings, review scores, awards or “best of” lists.
- We will never claim affiliation with any company we write about.
How the project is funded
The project is funded by its publisher. It carries no affiliate links, no sponsored posts, no paid reviews and no ranking fees, and it accepts no payment from any company mentioned on the site.
If that ever changes, the change will be disclosed prominently on this page and in the editorial policy before any affected content is published.
Who writes the site
Four named editors, each responsible for a defined area, with a separate reviewer fact-checking security-sensitive and terminology-heavy material. Every reference page carries its author, its reviewer and its update date.
